Class Curriculum:
Empower yourself to confidently massage and release the structures inside the mouth (sometimes referred to as “Buccal Massage”), as well as the anterior compartment of the neck. We emphasize safely practicing advanced medical massage techniques in these endangerment sites to relieve TMJD, neck, sinus, and headache projects (particularly migraine HA projects). Featured intra-oral structures we’ll be contacting include the pterygoid muscles (attaching directly to the TM-joint), as well as the mandible (jaw bone) and maxilla (the upper jaw with the largest concentration of sinuses in the skull). And another of our favorite muscles, the longus colli–or “psoas of the neck”–will be released following decompression of the supra- and infra-hyoids and mobilization of the esophagus and trachea. Though these areas may not be familiar to everyone, everyone can greatly benefit by building their safe and confident proficiency exploring medical massage techniques in and around these integral endangerment sites.

Logistics and Details
Following your registration, you will receive a logistics email with information about how to prepare for the live webinar or in-person class and how to participate in real time.

What if I choose to take the live class Remotely, Online? 
You will still receive 8CE credits for attending a live webinar. During the live webinar, we strongly recommend you have a recipient to practice on and to receive feedback from them and the instructors (if you choose to turn your webcam on). This is completely optional, and will assist in your understanding, confidence, and correct implement of the hands-on therapies. You will also receive the recording so you can go back and practice along to the replay.

1. Coordinate to practice on a demo body from approximately 11am-1pm AZ/PT time (12-3pm MT, 1-4pm CT, 2-5pm ET) AND from 230-530pm AZ/PT (330-630 MT, 430-730 CT, 530-830 ET)
2. Get a demo body willing to receive your touch
3. Have gloves (preferably latex-free groves) to practice with
4. Have a table set up (or couch, futon, etc) with linens and a bolster or pillow
5. Have a massage medium of your choice
