Learn how to apply Gua Sha or Scrapping in this 1-day workshop. Taught by Master Peter Chow, Licensed Acupuncturist, 28th generation key-holder to a family legacy of Chinese medicine, Tai Chi and I-Ching, and Heath and Nicole Reed’s Family Physician and QiGong and Chinese Massage teacher.
Dr. Chow will guide you through the proper techniques and demonstrate how Gua Sha can be applied to different areas of the body. Through a combination of theory and hands-on practice, you will learn how to safely and effectively use Gua Sha tools to:
-release muscle pain and tension
-reduce stagnation and inflammation
-promote overall well-being.
By the end of the class, you will have the knowledge and proficiency to incorporate Gua Sha into your own practice or offer it as a standalone service.
Master Chow learned Chinese Medicine in Hong Kong, Mainland China, and under Classical TCM, Dr. Professor Chung Tak Sun. He began his practice in 1975. He founded the Inner-Energy and Acupuncture Research Unit in Hong Kong. He moved to Arizona in 1996 and opened a clinic in Phoenix, founded the Chinese Cultural Institute, and also, the International College of Classical Chinese Medicine (ICCCM).
Master Chow, and his wife, Dr. Pauline Chow are among Heath and Nicole Reed’s favorite human beings. For more than 20 years, the Chows have help the Reed family be healthy, learn advanced Classical Chinese healing methods, and even hosted them in a continuing education seminar at the Guangzhou University in China and in Hong Kong in 2008.
This class provides a supportive environment for both beginners and experienced practitioners seeking to expand their healing repertoire.
